Srushti Deshmukh is beginning preparations for the UPSC entrance in her third year of her engineering degree. As she was finishing her last year in engineering, Srushti Deshmukh was unsure if she could be interested in working in engineering. Later, she realized her dream was civil services and decided to pursue the field. She was encouraged by her parents to consider an employment in the civil service and to prepare for examinations. She was driven to be an IAS officer, and she was focusing to achieve that goal. To be eligible for UPSC the candidate must put in more work. While studying her engineering subjects she was also able to practice for the various subjects at UPSC. The exam preparation took up all day long. In less than one month and a half, she prepared for her engineering exam and completely avoided all social media. She believes that being focused solely on what needs to be done is essential to pass the exam. She was committed to passing the exam and put in a lot of deal of effort. Her habit was to go through newspapers to stay up-to-date with current affairs every day. Also, she received a lot of support online by collecting various studying materials as well as viewing Rajya Sabha TV.
